The #DearMe Campaign, Jet Airways’ initiative to Inform your Flight Status on Twitter and Adwords App Officially Available on Android: This Week in Digital

It’s a long weekend coming up, and a happy one, as the colors of festivities are set to paint every street, every house in the country. With summers just about setting in, this just may well be the perfect time for everyone to enjoy a bit of color and splash water all over the place without too many people having a problem with that. But before we all pack our bags and leave to celebrate Holi, let’s quickly wrap everything that transpired in the week gone by as far as the Digital World is concerned in our Weekly Roundup.

Abiding by our self-set rules, we will keep the stories as short as possible and will add a link where you can read more about the story if you feel like. Let’s get going:

Pebble Announces the Pebble Time Steel on Kickstarter

Pebble Time Steel

After announcing the Pebble Time last week, Pebble announced the Pebble Time Steel on Kickstarter this week. Pebble achieved its $500,000 pre-order goal within days of going live and therefore it was little surprise when they came up with the Pebble Time Steel this week. The watch is exactly like the Pebble Time, though the body is made out of CNC-finished 316L stainless steel. The watch has a 10-day battery and you also have the option of using smart straps which enhance the features. You can back the project right here.

Adwords- App

Google has made its Adwords application on Android available for everyone. The application was launched last month officially but was only available for those living in Canada. You have the ability to check your campaign stats, get real-time notifications, change your bids and budget as well as call a Google expert for help on the same. The only downside of the application is that you cannot create a new Adwords account on it and will have to log in via a pre-existing account only. You can download Google Adwords from here.

Instagram introduces Carousel Ads for brands

Instagram has introduced Carousel ads for brands on its platform. So far, brands could only throw in an image on the timeline of their targeted audience but with Carousel ads coming in, they could tell the whole story of the brand via just images. The feature basically lets brand add in several images, which can be swiped across and consumed. The ad also allows brands to embed in a link for them to get people to land on their pages. The format will be rolled out only in batches and not available to every advertiser immediately.
